Time for the Front Yard

The back yard (Lagoon/National Park) is finished...we started on the front yard (beach).

Traditionally the "Beach" was separated form the "Resort" by a wall...this might work for other sports, but not for kite boarding or paddle boarding. Kiters need to be able to set up, launch and exit "cross wind" (with out jumping over a wall). We have created what is perhaps the finest "Kite Launch" know to man. Complete with; ocean front compressor, lots of fresh water, foot showers, water fall showers, shade and a big grass area for rigging as well as gear lockers steps away from the launch! Lagoon Lounge

Tuesday is "Nature Night" at the Lagoon Lounge...stop by and check out the Fish, Turtles, Birds...grind on some mango, sugar cane and almonds fresh from the source. Enjoy some Noni Tea fire side...see you on Tuesdays!

We broke ground on the Method Lodge one year ago today. Construction on the Lagoon side (Pirate's Cove) of the property went much better than planned. Mainly because of the decades of experience Maui Builder Doyle Betsill brought to the project. A year later, we now have the following on the Lagoon Side:

Method Lodge, a Kite Beach Resort

The property:

Being one of the pioneers of kiteboarding has been great, full of benefits and good riding. One thing I learned from Surfing and Snowboarding is that "you got to be at the right spot at the right time!" This is the reason I spent so much time and money looking for the "perfect" kite beach. I found it in the Dominican Republic. Most spots got an automatic DQ because kiteboarders could not own the land. Not so in the DR. Maui Builder, Doyle Betsill, and I purchased a beautiful peice of property in the center of Kite Beach. It turns out that there is much more to kite beach than just the ocean front. EL Choco National Park is on the lagoon side of the beach. El Choco is beaming with fish, birds and wild life. It is here on the Lagoon side where we decided to build Phase One, "Pirate's Cove." This phase sold out quickly and now it is time to build Phase Two "Method Lodge". The lodge is ocean front and offers kiteboarders a chance to own a piece of kiteboarding paradise and history.
